Pine Strawberry Fire District Employment Opportunities

The Pine Strawberry Fire District is now accepting applications for the positions of Reserve Firefighter EMT and Reserve Firefighter Paramedic.  Starting pay for Reserve Firefighter EMT is $15 per hour.  Starting pay for Reserve Firefighter Paramedic is $18 per hour.   The shift qualification process may be accelerated depending on experience and qualifications.  Below is a downloadable/fillable employment application, along with a list of required documentation to include with the application.  To apply, fill out the application below and email it to cwailes@psfd.az.gov, drop it off at our Administrative Office at 3741 North Prince Drive; Pine, AZ 85544, or mail it to PO Box 441; Pine, AZ, 85544.  Please include copies of documentation for all minimum requirements and certifications.  For further information or if you have any questions please contact Pine Strawberry Fire District Reserve Coordinator Bill Potter at (928) 476-4272.  

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or equivalent

Must possess a valid Arizona Driver License (or other US state, as long as AZ license is obtained prior to employment)

Firefighter 1 and 2 and HAZMAT Operations certifications

NWCG S-130, S-190, L-180 (unless included in S-130), and I-100 certifications

Current EMT or CEP certification

Current CPR certification, and current PALS, ACLS, and PHTLS certifications for CEP’s

Successful completion of the PSFD Physical Performance Assessment (PPA) (A medical clearance must be provided by the applicant prior to participation.)

Successful completion of the NWCG Arduous Work Capacity Test (A medical clearance must be provided by the applicant prior to participation.)

Successful completion of a fingerprint-based background check, along with a reference/employment check

Applicants will also participate in an oral board interview and a Chief’s interview.
